Back

Dr. Heini Natri is a Research Assistant Professor in the Banovich Lab within the Division of Bioinnovation and Genome Science at the Translational Genomics Research Institute. Their research is focused on uncovering the genetic, molecular, and cellular mechanisms underlying phenotypic diversity, disease risk, pathogenesis, and treatment response. Their recent and ongoing work leverages state-of-the-art single-cell multi-omics and spatial transcriptomics technologies to accelerate biomedical discovery in clinical and pre-clinical settings.

Their research expands across conditions, such as brain tumors, prostate cancer, peritoneal carcinomatosis, and lung disease, as well as across treatment modalities, such as Chimeric Antigen Receptor (CAR) T-cell therapies, localized chemotherapy, and radiation. Dr. Natri pursues highly collaborative translational studies for the development of precision medicine interventions, as well as basic and applied studies widely relevant to human diversity, health, well-being, and the responsible use of genetic information in research.
