The Curt and Shonda Schilling Melanoma Research Fund was established in 2007 at TGen. The Fund was created to give SHADE Foundation of America donors an additional opportunity to fight melanoma by providing financial resources necessary to accelerate the rate of research in order to impact the way it is diagnosed and treated.
Melanoma is the most serious type of skin cancer and malignant melanoma is the fastest-growing cancer today. Nearly 80 percent of all skin cancer deaths are caused by melanoma.
