Women’s cancers research at TGen lifted up by latest fashions March 6 at Neiman Marcus Scottsdale
New luxury wing of Scottsdale Fashion Square to serve as backdrop to Runway for Research fashion show
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — March 3, 2020 — Celebrating the change of seasons in Arizona, a new fashion show — Runway for Research — will premier March 6 at Neiman Marcus Scottsdale, helping kickoff the opening of the recently expanded and upgraded luxury wing of Scottsdale Fashion Square, while also benefiting women’s cancers research at the Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen), an affiliate of City of Hope.
Runway for Research, in partnership with Neiman Marcus and Scottsdale Fashion Square, will feature dozens of models showcasing the latest spring fashions, using the new luxury wing of the mall as the event’s runway.
“Scottsdale Fashion Square is a vibrant and exciting experience, especially the new luxury wing, anchored by Neiman Marcus. We’re happy and excited to present TGen’s Runway for Research in this beautiful space,” said event Co-chair Vicki Vaughn.
Complimentary valet parking will be available at the east entrance to Neiman Marcus, facing Goldwater Boulevard. The two-hour event, featuring champagne and hors d'oeuvres, starts at 8:30 a.m. March 6.
“We are so very proud to host the inaugural Runway for Research, supporting the important life-saving treatment for women with cancer developed by TGen,” said Timothy Braun, Vice President and General Manager of Neiman Marcus. “This is an exceptional event and fundraising effort, and we are happy to partner for the first time with TGen for the benefit of women in our community.”
Tickets are $1,000 for the VIP Experience (which includes two premium seats and a VIP-only raffle) or $150 per Fashionista seat. Runway for Research already has raised more than $100,000.

Runway for Research will feature models showing off new spring fashion collections in the mall’s new luxury wing, which recently underwent a more than $140 million renovation and expansion.
“This is an incredible opportunity to partner with Neiman Marcus and Fashion Square, surrounding the opening of the new luxury wing,” said Erin Massey, Chief Development Officer at TGen, and Vice President of Philanthropy at City of Hope.
