TGen’s Keri Ramsey Named Recipient of 2024 Claire Chee Award for Excellence in Child Neurology Nursing
Award honors an exceptional nurse or nurse practitioner dedicated to caring for children with neurological disorders
PHOENIX, AZ—The Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen), part of City of Hope, announced today that the Association of Child Neurology Nurses (ACNN) selected Keri Ramsey, M.S., C.G.C., R.N., as the recipient of the 2024 Claire Chee Award for Excellence in Child Neurology Nursing. Ramsey serves as the clinical co-director of TGen’s Center for Rare Childhood Disorders. The ACNN will recognize Ramsey for her distinguished service at the ACNN/CNS meeting in San Diego this November.
The Claire Chee Award honors an outstanding nurse or nurse practitioner who demonstrates exceptional commitment to the care of children with neurological disorders. The award also celebrates individuals for their compassion, resourcefulness, leadership, knowledge, communication, and inspiration within the field of child neurology nursing.

I am committed to continuing our mission to improve the lives of children with neurological disorders.”
Ramsey began in 2013 as a clinical research coordinator for the Center for Rare Childhood Disorders, quickly advanced to the role of clinical manager and now serves as the clinical co-director of the Center. She is the first point of contact for families seeking answers for their child’s undiagnosed neurological conditions. Her work also includes critical roles in sponsored clinical trials for conditions such as Tuberous Sclerosis Complex and Rett syndrome.
Ramsey’s contributions extend beyond patient care. She has been instrumental in forming collaborations with research groups around the world and linking families with support groups for specific genetic disorders. She has over 70 peer-reviewed publications and has presented her work at numerous national and international conferences.
